Zelda Posey

February 4, 2026 — June 12, 2026

It is with a profound sense of loss and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Zelda Pearl Posey, who departed this world far too soon on June 12, 2026. Born on February 4, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, Zelda was a beacon of light and joy during her brief time with us. Zelda was the cherished daughter of Aynsley Pearl Posey and Steven Ray Posey, who adored her from the moment she entered their lives. Zelda is survived by her twin brother, Verso Ray Posey, older brother, Lyrik Hiram-rocky Posey, paternal grand parents Anita and Darrin Rector, Christopher Posey (Uncle), Danielle Posey (Aunt) and her son Michael Palmorez and maternal grandmother Catherine Hess. Despite her short time on Earth, Zelda touched the hearts of all who knew her with her bright smile and gentle spirit. As we remember Zelda, we are also reminded of those beloved family members who preceded her in passing, including her paternal father, Daniel Ray Posey; her paternal grandparents, Bobbie Ray Posey and Ethel Diane Posey; her paternal aunt, Sharon Posey; her cousin, Dustin Vega; her maternal grandmother, David Ray Tegarden; her aunt, Lisa Terrell; her uncle, Darren Tegarden; and her maternal grandfather, Gilbert Avery. Their spirits surely welcomed Zelda with open arms, and together they are now part of a celestial family watching over us. A service to honor Zelda's life will be held on June 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Evergreen Mortuary, Cemetery, and Crematory, located at 3015 N Oracle Rd, Tucson, AZ 85705. Prior to service there will be a public viewing from 11:00 am-11:30 am. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of the joy Zelda brought into our lives. In honor of Zelda's memory, the family has set up a donation fund to help cover unforeseen expenses and to create a legacy in her name. Contributions can be made at [https://gofund.me/d4be0beaf] During this incredibly difficult time, we find solace in the support and care provided by the paramedics and the Tucson Police Department, whose swift response was a testament to their dedication and compassion. Our heartfelt gratitude extends to them for their assistance and kindness. Though Zelda's time with us was unexpectedly short, the impact of her presence will forever be felt in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on as a reminder of the purity and innocence of life. We will hold Zelda in our hearts always, celebrating the love and light she shared with us in her time here. May Zelda rest in eternal peace, forever cradled in the love of her family and the grace of the heavens.
