In Loving Memory

Zachary Smith
June 3, 2008 — October 27, 2026
Zachary Smith, a beloved son, brother, and friend, left this world all too soon on October 27, 2026. Born on June 3, 2008, in Nashville, TN, Zachary was a beacon of love and resilience, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Though faced with the challenges of being a non-verbal autistic child and living with epilepsy, Zachary's spirit was unyielding. He approached each day with courage and an infectious joy that inspired those around him. His love for technology, in the form of tablets and phones, was not just a pastime but a gateway to the world, helping him navigate through his days with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Zachary was a graduate of Cora Howe School, completing his education in 2026. His determination and zest for life were evident in every achievement, and he made a lasting impression on his teachers and classmates alike.
Family was at the heart of Zachary's world. He was profoundly loving and protective of his sisters, Angelica and Isabella Smith, who survive him. His protective nature and gentle demeanor were a testament to the deep bond he shared with them. Although he has now joined his mother, Rose Smith, and brothers, Alexander and Nathan Smith, as well as his grandparents, Donald and Pearl Smith, his legacy of love and kindness remains with us.
Zachary's life, though brief, was rich with love, laughter, and the warmth he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but the memory of his gentle spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
In accordance with the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Zachary's life. In memory of Zachary, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting the love and compassion he showed throughout his life.
As we say goodbye to Zachary, we celebrate the remarkable light he brought into our lives and find comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Zachary Smith welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
