It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Zachary Nicholas Florence, who departed this world far too soon on July 28, 2026. Born on December 1, 1988, in Durham, North Carolina, Zachary's journey was marked by love, laughter, and an unyielding zest for life.
Zachary was the beloved son of Jacqueline Florence of Charlotte, NC, and John Frederick. He was cherished by his sister, Savannah Florence, who resides in St. Paul, MN. He is also survived by a wide and loving network of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his vibrant spirit and kind-hearted nature. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Savannah Georgia Florence and Fred Florence, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
Though he was single and without children, Zachary shared his love and warmth with those around him, leaving a profound impact on the lives of many. His passion for music and engineering was matched only by his love for traveling. He reveled in exploring new places, often accompanied by his family and friends, always ready to create new memories and share in joyous laughter.
A proud graduate of Louisburg Community College, Zachary forged a successful career working two jobs that utilized his diverse skills: as an AT&T customer service representative and in medical billing and coding services. His work ethic and dedication were admired by colleagues and friends alike.
Zachary was a devoted member of the Green Level Christian Church in Haw River, NC, where he found community and spiritual solace. His hobbies reflected his energetic and outgoing nature, with a love for music, exercising, hiking, and, most importantly, spending time with loved ones. Those who knew him will remember his intelligence, humor, and the kindness he extended to everyone he met.
A service to honor Zachary's life will be held on August 9, 2026, at 5:15 PM. The family extends their deepest gratitude to all who have offered their support, whether through attendance, visits, or thoughtful donations. Your presence has been a great comfort during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Zachary's name to causes that reflect his passions and values.
