It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zachary James, a beloved father, brother, and friend. Born on May 27, 1972, in Greenville, Mississippi, Zachary left us peacefully on May 25, 2026, just two days shy of his 54th birthday. He passed away at the hospital, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Zachary was the cherished son of the late Dorothy and Henry James, who instilled in him the values of kindness, humility, and resilience. He was predeceased by his loving parents, grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, great-nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he held dear and whose memories he treasured. Zachary is survived by his devoted son, Zachary James Mosby, who was his pride and joy. He was a loving father who always prioritized the happiness and well-being of his son. Zachary also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life. He is survived by six siblings, each of whom he shared a unique and special bond: Henry James, Timothy James, Mark James, Catina Thompson, Bettina James, and Matthew James. His siblings remember him as a guiding light, a source of comfort, and a pillar of strength. Zachary's extended family, including his aunts, uncle, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, will fondly remember his warmth and generosity. Zachary's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and friendship. He was a man who embraced life with an open heart, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. His gentle spirit and infectious smile were a balm to those around him, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched. Though his time with us was too brief, Zachary made the most of every moment. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time with family, enjoying the beauty of nature, or sharing a hearty laugh with friends. His unwavering positivity and zest for life inspired all who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Zachary's life and legacy. While we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Zachary's family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time.
