December 31, 1988 — May 24, 2026

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Zach Neely, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on May 24, 2026. Born on December 31, 1988, in Baltimore County, MD, Zach was a beacon of light and laughter in the lives of all who knew him. Zach was the cherished son of Kenneth and Cynthia Howard and Tracey Neely and brother to his siblings, Courtney, Kody, Letitia, Gloria, and Buddy. He is survived by his loving children, Logan, Mason, and Makenzie, who were the center of his universe and the pride of his heart. A skilled carpenter by trade, Zach dedicated himself to his craft, building not only structures but also a legacy of hard work and dedication that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. His hands, strong and capable, were the tools with which he constructed more than just physical edifices; he built lasting relationships and cherished memories. Zach's love for life was as fierce as it was contagious. An avid pro skater fan, he embraced the thrill and freedom of the sport, often sharing his passion with those around him. His enthusiasm for horror and all things Halloween was a testament to his playful spirit and love of adventure, always eager to find joy in the spooky and unknown. To know Zach was to experience his quick wit and irresistible charm. He had an uncanny ability to bring light to any room, making others laugh, and uncovering moments of brightness even in the most challenging times. His humor and warmth were a balm to all who crossed his path, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. Services to honor and celebrate Zach's life will be held on May 29, 2026 from 1:00pm -4:00pm, at St. Joseph's. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man whose spirit will forever live on in the stories and memories of those he touched. In this time of mourning, we reflect on the profound impact Zach had on our lives. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and an enduring spirit that will continue to inspire us. Though his time with us was far too short, the memories he leaves behind will be cherished forever. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity supporting children, a cause close to Zach's heart. Let us celebrate his life by bringing joy and support to others, just as Zach would have done. Rest in peace, Zach Neely. You are deeply missed, but your laughter and love will echo in our hearts eternally.
