Yvonne Pacheco, a spirited soul known for her indomitable spirit and compassionate heart, departed this world peacefully on August 3, 2026, with her beloved husband, Donald, by her side. Born on April 17, 1951, in the sunlit town of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Yvonne was the cherished daughter of Miguel Silva and Marion Kennedy as well as the beloved sister to Edith Payne, now passed.
In her vibrant youth, Yvonne cultivated a deep passion for the world around her, a trait that would shape her life and career. She pursued a career in law, practicing diligently in the city of Anchorage, Alaska. Her tenacity and sharp intellect made her a formidable presence. Later in life, Yvonne transitioned into entrepreneurship, becoming a successful business owner in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she eventually retired.
Yvonne's life was a rich tapestry woven with threads of art, fashion, travel, and culture. Her love for collecting art and fashion was matched only by her insatiable curiosity for the world. Her travels took her to many countries, where she embraced diverse cultures and welcomed new experiences with open arms.
Those who knew Yvonne remember her for her quick wit and sharp tongue traits that often left those around her both awed and amused. She was a woman who never hesitated to speak her mind, embodying authenticity and honesty in all her interactions. Her love for animals was boundless; she was known to care for any stray or wild creature that crossed her path, offering them solace and healing.
Yvonne leaves behind a loving family who will carry her legacy forward. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Pacheco, her treasured brother Doug Vandergraph, her cherished children, Michelle and Travis Horn, and her adored grandchildren, Alexandrea Blackwell, Katherine and Joshua Smith, and Daeneirys Horn. Her heart extended even further to her four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Yvonne's life was celebrated in a private ceremony, honoring the intimate bonds she formed with those she held dear.
In remembering Yvonne, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart fiercely loving, and a spirit forever free. Her memory will linger in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life filled with love, laughter, and boundless generosity.
