Yvonne Judith Mueller, a beacon of warmth and compassion, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and the dedicated staff at Nazareth Home. Born on December 31, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky, Yvonne lived a life filled with love, kindness, and service to others. She was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Mary Louise Hampton, who predeceased her, along with her sister, Carol Calvert. Yvonne's journey was marked by a devoted marriage to her beloved husband, Francis "Frank" Mueller, whom she married on June 12, 1965. Together, they shared over 61 years of love and companionship, nurturing a beautiful family that includes their two sons, Christopher and Donn Mueller. Yvonne's legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Emary, Xavier, Nicholas, and Linley Mueller, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her dear sister, Cookie Kessler. A dedicated scholar, Yvonne's educational journey began at St. Terese and continued at Ursuline High School and Ursuline Academy. She later pursued her passion for helping others by earning an LPN degree in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where she worked diligently for 20 years. Yvonne also held a degree in speech therapy from Ursuline, a testament to her commitment to enriching the lives of those around her. Her professional life saw her as a substitute teacher and speech therapist in Louisville, Kentucky, where she touched many lives with her nurturing spirit. Yvonne was a devoted member of St. James in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and later, St. Margaret Mary and St. Agnes in Louisville, Kentucky. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, inspiring her to serve her community with grace and generosity. Beyond her professional and community endeavors, Yvonne had a passion for creativity and nature. She found joy in making quilts, sewing, and baking delightful treats that became family heirlooms in the form of cherished recipes. Her love for British television and reading added layers to her vibrant personality. In her leisure, Yvonne could often be found tending to her tomato garden and mint plants, delighting in the simple pleasures of nature while observing the lively birdhouses in her backyard. Yvonne's presence was a comforting balm to all who knew her. Her ability to light up a room with her empathetic heart and her readiness to engage in humorous conversations made her a beloved figure among friends and family. A service celebrating Yvonne's remarkable life will be held on November 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, located at 3800 Bardstown Rd, Louisville, Kentucky, 40218.
