Yuri was born on March 30, 1955, in Rosenberg, Texas, to Rayman and Carmen Guzman, who instilled in her a deep love for family and a spirit of unwavering resilience. Yuri's life was a testament to love, dedication, and selflessness. She shared a beautiful marriage with her late husband, Hector Hernandez Cruces, with whom she built a nurturing and supportive home filled with warmth and laughter. Together, they raised two remarkable children, Carmen and Angel, who were the pride and joy of her life. Yuri's legacy is carried on through them and her beloved six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Yuri was predeceased by her father, Rayman Guzman, her husband, Hector, and her brothers, Carlos and Angel Guzman. Their memories lived on in the stories and lessons she shared, ensuring that their spirits remained alive in the hearts of those she loved. Throughout her 71 years, Yuri touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and generosity. She was a beacon of light to all who knew her, offering a comforting presence and an open heart. Whether it was through her volunteer work, her involvement in community activities, or simply a heartfelt conversation, Yuri made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered. To honor and celebrate Yuri's life, a service will be held on September 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hernandez Funeral Home, located at 2804 Fulton St. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Yuri are invited to gather in remembrance of her remarkable life and the love she so freely shared. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Yuri's memory, reflecting her generous spirit and her commitment to making the world a better place. Yuri Edith Hernandez Cruces leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Her memory will forever be a guiding light to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
