In Loving Memory

Yolanda Williams
June 1, 1971 — February 13, 2026
With deep sadness and profound love, we commemorate the life of Yolanda Williams, who departed this world on February 13, 2026, after a courageous battle that she fought with unwavering strength. Born on June 1, 1971, in the warm embrace of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Yolanda was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Yolanda was the cherished daughter of Mary Helen Williams and Barney Marion. She was predeceased by her beloved parents and her dear sister, Jacqueline Williams. Despite the heartaches life presented, Yolanda's spirit remained unbroken, her soul resilient and vibrant.
Educated at Ottawa Hills High School, Yolanda carried forward a lifelong passion for learning. Her love for reading was boundless, and she constantly sought to immerse herself in the worlds that only books could provide. Cooking was not just a pastime, but a passion that brought joy to her heart and smiles to those she lovingly fed. Music was her constant companion, a source of solace and inspiration, while sharing her favorite shows became treasured moments with her daughters.
Yolanda's life was defined by her empathetic heart and her ability to give love unconditionally. Her beautiful smile and contagious laughter brightened even the darkest of days. Her jokes, always delivered with perfect timing, brought levity and joy to those around her. Known for her confidence, Yolanda carried herself with a grace and poise that inspired many.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her four cherished daughters: Sharaya, Breck, Jacobi, and Brieanna. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandson, Romeillo, and extends to her goddaughter and a few adopted grandchildren who brought additional joy into her life.
As we gather to celebrate Yolanda’s life, we invite you to join us on April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, located at 48 Dennis Ave SE. Here, we will honor a life lived with love, resilience, and an unbreakable spirit.
Her daughters would like to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who loved, checked on, reached out to, cared for, and will attend the memorial service for Yolanda. Your support and love meant the world to her, and it continues to comfort her family during this time.
Yolanda Williams will forever remain in our hearts, her memory a cherished treasure, and her life a testament to the power of love and resilience.
