Yolanda Sheree Hyter

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yolanda Sheree Hyter, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Yolanda was born on July 31, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, and she departed this life on September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Yolanda was the beloved daughter of the late Dorothy and Hiram Hyter. She shared a close bond with her siblings, Barbara Hyter, April Pickett, and Bruce Hyter, and was predeceased by her sister, Jaqueline Robinson. Her family was her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them. A proud alumna of Huntsville High School, Yolanda dedicated her life to the food service industry, where she touched the lives of countless individuals with her exceptional customer service and natural comedic talent. Her warm smile and quick wit brightened the days of everyone she encountered, and she had a unique ability to make others laugh and feel at ease. For over 40 wonderful years, Yolanda shared her life with her loving spouse, Charles Fletcher. Together, they built a beautiful family that included children Montoya Hyter (Latasha Hyter), Niketa Earle, DeQuan Hyter, and Kiara Hyter, as well as stepchildren Shanika Fletcher, Delvin Fletcher, and Timothy Easley. Yolanda was a devoted grandmother to Karrington, Kameron, Kaleb, Karen, Haley, Eli, and Michael, and a proud great-grandmother to two precious great-grandchildren. Her grandson, Jayden Hyter, preceded her in death, but his memory was always cherished in her heart. Outside of her professional life, Yolanda was a faithful member of Chelsea Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, AL. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and guidance. In her leisure time, she delighted in traveling to casinos, playing bingo, and capturing memories with her family through countless photos. Yolanda's vibrant personality made her the life of every gathering, and she was always ready to be the center of attention, ensuring that everyone around her felt included and entertained. Her love for her family was unparalleled, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. A service to celebrate Yolanda's life will be held on September 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Garden, located at 139 Meridianville Bottom Road, Meridianville, AL 35759. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Yolanda's spirit of generosity and care for others. The Hyter family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support, prayers, and visits during this difficult time.
