Yolanda departed this world peacefully on March 7, 2026, at the age of 76, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family at Kaweah Delta Hospital in Visalia, California. Born on February 24, 1950, in the close-knit community of Dinuba, California, Yolanda grew up with a vibrant spirit, which she shared generously with everyone she encountered. She graduated from Dinuba High School and continued her pursuit of knowledge and personal growth at Reedley College. Her education laid the foundation for a life filled with learning, laughter, and love. Yolanda was a woman of many passions, but nothing brought her more joy than her family. As a devoted mother, she raised her three children, Eliah, Henry Jr., and Eliazar, with unwavering love and guidance. Her children were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her legacy of love extends to the next generation, as she was the adored grandmother to Alayna Esquivel, Josiah De La Vega, Bella and Eli Fernandez, Briana Lujan, and Lillian Fernandez. Her grandchildren were truly the center of her world, and her unconditional love for them knew no bounds. Yolanda's zest for life was contagious. She had an infectious laugh and a voice that could lift spirits through song. She loved to sing and dance, filling every room with light and joy. Her vibrant spirit and welcoming arms made everyone feel at home, and there was never a dull moment in her presence. Yolanda had a unique ability to make everyone feel special and loved, and she touched countless lives with her kindness and warmth. In the days following her passing, Yolanda's beloved spouse, Henry Fernandez Ponce, joined her on March 24, 2026. Together, they shared a partnership filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Although they are no longer with us, their love story will remain in the hearts of those who knew them. Yolanda's life will be celebrated in a private ceremony, honoring her wishes to be remembered in a close, intimate setting. While her physical presence will be profoundly missed, her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
