It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Willow Renea Stanley, who left this world on May 25, 2026, after courageously battling sickle cell disease. Born on July 4, 2001, in Douglas, Georgia, Willow was a beacon of light and resilience throughout her life, filling the world with her radiant spirit and unwavering determination. Willow was the cherished daughter of Winslow Stanley Sr. and Tammy Stanley, who adored her from the moment she drew her first breath. A devoted mother, she is survived by her beloved children, William Stanley and Willona Stanley, who were the center of her universe. She shared a deep, loving bond with her brother, Winslow Stanley Jr., who stood by her side through thick and thin. On August 3, 2020, Willow married the love of her life, Christopher Adams. Their time together was tragically short, as Christopher predeceased her in 2024, but their love story was one of deep affection and mutual support. The strength of their partnership was evident to all who knew them. A proud graduate of Coffee County High School, Willow pursued her passion for understanding the human mind at Central Georgia State College, where she earned a degree in psychology. Her education paved the way for a fulfilling career at South Georgia State College in Douglas. As a school psychologist, she specialized in supporting students with permanent medical issues, guiding them as they transitioned to the world of higher education. Her work was not just a career, but a calling, where she made a lasting impact on countless young lives. Willow's life was a testament to the power of positivity and joy. Despite her own medical challenges, she was always smiling and full of life, traits that endeared her to everyone she met. She found immense joy in playing with her children and being surrounded by family, creating memories that will be cherished forever. In respect of Willow's wishes, a private funeral service will be held on May 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM, where her family will gather to celebrate her remarkable life and bid farewell to their beloved Willow. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered support and prayers during this difficult time. Willow Renea Stanley's legacy is one of love, strength, and compassion. She will be dearly missed but will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dear Willow, your light will continue to shine in the lives you touched.
