It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of William Alexander Tinsley III, who departed this life on October 20, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on August 25, 1969, in Centerville, Illinois, William was the cherished son of the late William and Bryce (Harper) Tinsley. For over 30 years, William dedicated himself to his work at Amsted Rail as a steel mill chipper. His commitment to his craft was reflected in his diligent work ethic and the respect he garnered from his colleagues. A man of tremendous character, William was known for his selflessness, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Beyond his professional life, William was a remarkable man with a rich tapestry of interests and passions. He was an avid outdoorsman, finding solace and joy in the natural beauty of hunting and fishing. His love for adventure and discovery often led him to travel to Florida, where he delighted in exploring new cuisines and creating lasting memories with his family. William was a devoted father to his daughter, Victoria Tinsley of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a proud grandfather to Makaya Bento, Sariyah Bento, and Isaac Bento. His family was the center of his universe, and he was always ready with words of wisdom, encouragement, and humor. His siblings, Lance Tinsley, Michael Harper, Roy Harper, Sharon Harper, and William Tinsley, held a special place in his heart, and he was steadfast in his support and love for them all. William's life was a testament to the values he held dear—faith, family, and compassion. He was a man who truly loved his Heavenly Father, and his righteous spirit was a beacon of light to everyone who knew him. His kindness and gentle soul left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. In accordance with his wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor William's life. Those who wish to honor his memory may consider making a donation to a charity of their choice, reflecting the generous spirit that William embodied throughout his life.
