It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Willie Jean Fary, a beloved daughter mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Willie passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 9, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
Born on April 11, 1963, in Cottondale, Florida, Willie was the cherished daughter of the late James and Lugene Fary. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Willie Teague and Dannie Fary, and her life partner, Mark Roberts Sr. Despite these losses, Willie’s spirit remained undimmed, and her life was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
Willie was a woman of remarkable character, known for her quick wit and warm smiles. Her laughter was infectious, and her ability to lighten any mood with a well-timed joke was legendary. She possessed a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Willie's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her brothers: Jerry Teague, and Edward(Rosetta)Teague her beloved children: Pamela Lynch, Mark Roberts Jr., and Davenia Roberts., Nieces and Nephew: Emma ,Mindy, Lajessa ,Alexis and Dannie Jr. Willie was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a doting great-grandmother to 5 great-grandchildren. Her family was her world, and her passion for cooking allowed her to express her love and care for them in the most delicious ways. Her home was always a place of warmth and comfort, filled with the tantalizing aromas of home-cooked meals and the sound of laughter.
In addition to her immediate family, Willie is also survived by her brothers, numerous nieces, her nephew, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on through them.
A memorial service to celebrate Willie’s life will be held on August 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Scott Chapel Hill Mortuary Funeral Home, located at 814 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share in the celebration of a life so beautifully lived.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Scott's Mortuary for the compassionate care and support provided to Willie and her family. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Willie's memory may consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in her name.
