With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Willie James Johnson Jr., who departed this world on April 8, 2026, at the age of 71. Surrounded by the love and warmth of his cherished family, Willie left this earthly realm from the comfort of his home, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered and celebrated. Born on September 30, 1954, in the vibrant town of Greenville, Mississippi, Willie was the beloved son of the late Maddie Stin Price and Jimmie Flowers. His upbringing was marked by love, resilience, and the nurturing guidance of his parents, who instilled in him the values of kindness, hard work, and unwavering faith. These lessons would become the foundation upon which Willie built his life, inspiring everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Preceded in death by his parents Maddie Stin Price and Jimmie Flowers, as well as his dear siblings June Flowers, James Flowers, and Mary Flowers, Willie is now reunited with them in eternal peace. While we mourn their absence, we find solace in the thought of their joyous reunion and the comfort they surely bring each other in the afterlife. Willie's life was a testament to the power of love, commitment, and family. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Neotha Johnson, whose partnership and love were the cornerstones of his happiness. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising four wonderful children—Monica, Trina, Allen, and Brian Johnson. To his children, Willie was not only a father but a beacon of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. His guidance and support were unwavering, and his lessons will continue to guide them throughout their lives. In addition to his immediate family, Willie leaves behind his cherished sister, Sheryl Ann, whose bond with Willie was one of deep affection and mutual respect. Sheryl Ann was a constant presence in his life, offering love and support through every joy and challenge. Willie James Johnson Jr. was a man of great character and integrity, whose life was characterized by his dedication to his family, his community, and his faith. He was a humble man who led by example, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a word of encouragement. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, gentle spirit, and the kindness that he extended to all. As we gather to celebrate Willie's life, we invite friends and loved ones to join us in remembering the joy he brought into our lives and the countless ways he touched our hearts. May Willie rest in eternal peace, cradled in the arms of those who have gone before him, and may his soul find serenity in the presence of the divine. In honoring his memory, let us strive to live with the same grace, compassion, and love that he so effortlessly embodied. A memorial service will be held to commemorate Willie's remarkable life, details of which will be shared with family and friends in due course. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Willie's memory to a charity of choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. With heartfelt gratitude and love, we bid farewell to a remarkable man who will forever remain in our hearts.
