Willie departed from this world at his home in El Reno, Oklahoma, the place of his birth and the community he held close to his heart. His passing was sudden, the result of a heart attack. Born on June 27, 1957, to the late Neta Faye Grant, Willie was a man of simple pleasures and profound impact. The small town of El Reno bore witness to his life’s journey—a journey marked by laughter, warmth, and an unwavering dedication to those he loved. Willie was a self-made man, carving his own path as a local handyman. His work went beyond mere repairs; he was a problem-solver, a confidant, and a friend to many who sought his expertise. Whether fixing a leaky faucet or mending a broken fence, Willie’s hands were always at work, and his heart was ever open. He possessed an infectious sense of humor, delighting in the laughter of others and often being the source of it. Willie’s love for life was evident in his varied interests, from the joy he found in the company of friends and family to his passion for greyhound breeding. His children were the light of his life, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments, always supporting them with the same steadfast dedication he applied to every aspect of his life. Willie also leaves behind his beloved siblings: his sister, Mavis Brooks, his brother, Charles Grant, and his sister, Elaine Grant. They, along with countless friends and neighbors, will miss his spirited presence, his stories, and his unwavering support. In accordance with his family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Willie’s life, allowing those closest to him to say their goodbyes in a personal and intimate setting. The family kindly suggests that those who wish to honor Willie’s memory consider making a donation to a charity of their choice in his name, celebrating the generosity and kindness that Willie bestowed upon the world. Willie Grant’s legacy will be one of laughter, love, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him.
