William passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Born on May 19, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois, William was the son of Brenda and the late William Sr. He grew up in a close-knit family, where he learned the values of compassion, dedication, and community service that he carried with him throughout his life. He was a beacon of strength and support to his family, always putting their needs above his own.
William’s life was marked by his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving husband and a proud father to his son, William Jr., who brought immense joy to his life. William also shared a deep bond with his brother, James Walker, and his sister, Linda Walker, who were his confidants and lifelong friends.
His kindness extended beyond his family to the community he cherished. Known for his generous spirit and warm smile, William was a valued member of his community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service to honor William’s life will be held on September 11, 2026, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 2019 Fisher Street, Madison, WI 53713. Family, friends, and community members are welcome to attend to celebrate William’s life and pay their respects.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, an organization close to William’s heart. This gesture will continue to support the community in a way that reflects William’s enduring spirit of generosity.
