William Theodore Miller

William Theodore Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully in Largo, Florida on January 17, 2013. Born on May 28, 1930, in Passaic, New Jersey, William lived a life full of dedication, love, and service. The son of William Miller and Tillie Magda, William was raised with strong family values that he carried throughout his life. Predeceased by his brother, Robert Miller, William is survived by his sister, Arlene, wife Patricia, children Lee Anne Miller and William Miller (Barbara), grandsons Adam Miller (Jennifer), Aaron Miller (Amanda Hakemian) and Samuel Miller (Angela), as well as 5 grandchildren. William served his country with honor in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954. After his military service, he embarked on a long and successful career as a civil engineer for the state of New Jersey, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 1989. His contributions to his community were widely respected, and he was known for his commitment and integrity. Beyond his professional achievements and family life, William was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Largo, Florida. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he found great fulfillment in serving his church community. A man of many talents and interests, William loved bowling, playing golf, and sharing the joy of music through his accordion. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to form lasting friendships with those who shared his passions. A brief service to celebrate William's life will be held on August 27, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota. William Theodore Miller leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
