William Peaslee, an extraordinary soul who graced this world with kindness and wisdom, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, while resting on his beloved vintage couch. Born on December 21, 1948, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, William’s life was a tapestry of love, service, and artistic expression. William was the cherished son of Edith and William H. Peaslee II, who preceded him in death. A devoted family man, William leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughter, Holly, and son-in-law, Stacy Evans; his treasured grandchildren, Corey and Ashley, along with her husband, Roger Neal; and his great-grandchildren, Mason, Carson, and Madison, who will carry forward his light. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Diane, and brother-in-law, Dennis Hoag, nephew Matt, niece Lindsay and her husband, Dom, and great-niece Stella and great-nephew Everett. His best friends, Joel and Ethan, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, will forever cherish his memory. William’s journey was marked by a steadfast dedication to service. After graduating high school, he answered the call to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force, where he honorably contributed for two decades, from 1969 to 1989, achieving the rank of E5. His time in the military instilled in him qualities of leadership and protection, which he carried into every facet of his life. Following his military career, William transitioned into the field of telecommunications, a role he fulfilled until his return to Massachusetts in 2006. Though his professional endeavors were met with success, it was in his personal passions that William truly thrived. An avid lover of tag sales and antiquing, he found joy in the stories that old treasures held. His hands were skilled in the art of refinishing furniture and painting, breathing new life into forgotten pieces. Music was his sanctuary, a space where he could lose himself and express his vibrant spirit. William was renowned for his infectious smile and an uncanny ability to transform adversity into positivity. Friends and family sought his counsel, knowing that his advice was both heartfelt and wise. A man of faith, he embodied the principles of compassion and hope, serving as a guiding light for those around him. A private funeral service was held on the day of his passing, honoring William’s wishes for an intimate farewell. Though he has departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those who knew him. William Peaslee’s life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and creativity, and his legacy will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate to walk alongside him.
