Although preceded in death by his beloved mother, Millie, and his grandparents, their memory and teachings lived on in Van's every action. Van's journey was marked by his off-beat sense of humor and his gentle wisdom. He was a devoted husband to his cherished wife, Karen Hall-Thompson. Together, they built a life filled with countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew them. As a father, Van's pride and joy were his children—Victoria French Thompson (Beard) and William Van Thompson IV, and his son-in-law Patric Shane Beard. His guidance and unwavering support were the foundation upon which their lives were built.
