William Munford McKenzie, a beloved husband, devoted father, esteemed pastor, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 19, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio, William was the treasured son of David and Annie Mae McKenzie. He lived a life full of purpose, love, and unwavering faith, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. In 1983, William relocated to the sunny shores of West Palm Beach, Florida, where he met the love of his life, Rebecca Jones. Their union was blessed on April 26, 1986, and together they built a remarkable life, grounded in love and mutual respect. The couple nurtured a beautiful family, gracing the world with five wonderful children. A man of many talents, Pastor McKenzie owned and operated M&M Tree Services, where he dedicated himself as a certified arborist. His commitment to excellence was evident in his work, but his true passion lay in his heartfelt service to others. Alongside Rebecca, he answered a divine calling by founding New Birth Outreach Ministries. Through this ministry, Pastor McKenzie became a beacon of hope and light, touching countless lives with his compassion, spiritual guidance, and tireless community service. Pastor William's boundless generosity and profound love for Jesus Christ were the cornerstones of his life. His kindness knew no bounds, and his greatest joy came from seeing the unity of family and the transformative power of strangers becoming family. His legacy is a call to action for us all to love more deeply, forgive more readily, and serve more selflessly. Pastor McKenzie was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, LeeAnn McDonald, and his beloved grandson, Calvin McDonald Jr. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rebecca McKenzie; his brothers, David (Helen) McKenzie and Andrew (Betty) McKenzie; his sister, Katherine McKenzie-Eison; and his loving children: Michelle (Michael) Newsome, Katherine Nalls, Willie (Sherene) Love, and Rebecca (Marvis) Montgomery. His memory lives on in the hearts of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, church family, and dear friends who will continue to carry forward his legacy of love and service. A celebration of Pastor William McKenzie's life will be held on June 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hurst Chapel AME, located at 1617 Silver Beach Rd, Riviera Beach, FL. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Special thanks are given to the Bell & Clark Funeral Home for their compassionate care and professional services. May God richly bless each of you.
