A proud alumnus of Jackson High School's Class of 1978, William furthered his education at San Joaquin Delta College, earning an Associate of Arts degree in 1983. Shortly after high school, William answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1978. During his distinguished service, he rose to the rank of Sergeant and was stationed at various bases, including Minot AFB in North Dakota, RAF Bentwaters in England, and Beale AFB in California. He was passionate about ensuring the well-being of others and took great pride in delivering safety training. William's commitment to safety was matched only by his commitment to those he loved.
A man of varied interests, William found great joy in attending live music concerts, with a taste that spanned from the electrifying performances of AC/DC to the soothing melodies of Olivia Newton-John. His love for music was a reflection of his vibrant spirit and zest for life.
Perhaps one of William’s most endearing qualities was his unwavering devotion to his nieces and nephews, whom he adored and spoiled at every opportunity. His generosity and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him, making him a cherished part of his extended family and community.
Though unmarried, William's life was rich with love and laughter, shared with friends and family who will dearly miss his warmth and humor. As per his wishes, a private ceremony will be held in his honor.
