He furthered his education at the University of Illinois, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1972. His commitment to service extended beyond academics, as he proudly served his country as a medic in the US Army Reserves from 1969 to 1975. On October 28, 1979, Bill married the love of his life, Mary Pat Murphy, with whom he shared an enduring partnership filled with love and mutual respect. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their beloved daughter, Caley Moehring Sullivan, who, along with her husband Ben, brought immense joy to Bill's life. Bill's professional career was a testament to his expertise and integrity. As a certified public accountant, he made significant contributions across various states, including Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, and Virginia. His commitment to service extended into the community, where he was a vital member of the Lions Club, holding positions of Treasurer, Vice President, and eventually President. He also contributed his skills to the Planning and Zoning Committee for the Village of Mahomet. Bill was known for his quick wit and boundless kindness, qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued, touching countless lives with his generosity and warmth.
