It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of our beloved William Keith, who departed this earthly life on May 16, 2026, surrounded by love at Piney Forest Health and Rehab in Danville, VA. Born on January 19, 1966, in Chatham, VA, William was a beacon of joy and laughter to all who knew him. The son of the late Perry Keith Sr. and the late Joyce Clements Keith, William was raised in a household filled with love and warmth. He was blessed to have the nurturing guidance of his grandparents, the late Inez Clements and Roy Clements, who preceded him in death. William's life was also deeply enriched by his favorite nephew, Phillip Martin, who held a special place in his heart. William is survived by his devoted sisters, Shirley T. Martin, whom he fondly referred to as "His number one," Nancy Jones, and Mary Martin. He also leaves behind his brothers, Perry Keith Jr., Clarence E. Keith and his wife Jocelyn Keith, and Michael Keith. His cherished uncle, William Clements, and his wife Mildre Clements, also survive him. A proud uncle, William's legacy lives on in his nieces and nephews: Ebone Martin, Arielle Dawkins, Stephanie Waller, Kashenna Martin, Whitney Keith, Chyna Keith, Latoya Giggetts, Tahziyah Martin, Drea Martin, Iyanna Herndon, Nahlani Martin, Kennedy Wade, Derrick Martin, Tony Martin, Dalyn Johnson, Kartier Martin, Dana Keith, Xzavier Keith, Messiah Munford, Camron Martin, and Jordan Bass. He also leaves behind honorary cousins Napoleon Clements, Frankie Clements, and William Clements Jr. Educated in the Pittsylvania County school systems, William's professional journey led him to a long and fulfilling career with the Greyhound Bus Station. His steadfast dedication and warm spirit made him a cherished colleague and friend. William's life was deeply rooted in his faith, having grown up in Callands Baptist Church, a place that held his heart and soul. His passions extended beyond his work and faith; he was known for his love of eating, laughter, and his talent for cracking jokes that could light up any room. William was an avid spades player, with an unwavering belief that no one could best him and his sister Shirley, nor him and Emma, at this beloved card game. A celebration of William's life will be held on May 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Callands Baptist Church, located at 1097 Strawberry Rd, Chatham, VA. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a part in caring for William and bringing joy to his life. William Keith will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his unyielding love for family, and his ability to make each day brighter for those around him. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him.
