Fall River, MA - It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of William John Almeida 11, lovingly known as Billy, who departed this life peacefully on April 5, 2026, at the age of 70. Surrounded by the love and comfort of his family, Billy passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital with his devoted brothers, Jimmy and Danny, by his side, as they have been throughout his life.
Born on March 4, 1956, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Billy was a beloved son of the late Dorothy Cabral and William Almeida. From his early years in Fall River, Billy carried the values of family, friendship, and hard work that would define his life and legacy.
Billy was predeceased by his dear mother, Dorothy, his brother Tommy Almeida, and his treasured son, Kevin Almeida. Despite these profound losses, Billy's spirit remained unyielding, always finding joy in the presence of loved ones and the simple pleasures of life.
Billy dedicated many years of his life to his career as a car salesman, where his charisma and integrity earned him the respect and affection of both colleagues and clients alike. His genuine nature and warm smile made every interaction memorable and left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He found immense joy in the company of his brothers, Danny and James "Jimmy" Almeida, sharing countless laughs and creating memories that will forever be cherished. Together, they navigated life's journey with an unbreakable bond, providing support and laughter through every twist and turn.
Billy's legacy is carried forward by his loving children: his son, Luke Almeida, and granddaughter, Kailey Almeida; his daughter, Bethany Almeida, and her ten wonderful children; and his daughter, Emily Almeida. His legacy of love and laughter continues to thrive through his 11 grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
In honoring Billy's wishes, a private funeral service will be held on April 5, 2026. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital for their attentive care and kindness during Billy's final hours.
As we bid farewell to Billy, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man deeply loved. His laughter, generosity, and gentle spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he has departed from this world, the love he shared and the memories he created remain eternal.
