With profound sadness and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of William Henry Daniels on June 30, 2026, at the age of 81, embraced by the love and comfort of his home. Born on June 25, 1945, in Walterboro, South Carolina, William was the beloved son of Nathaniel and Katie Daniels, who preceded him in death alongside his children William Jr., Michele, and Cyniya, and his siblings Nathaniel Jr. and GeorgiaMae. William's journey through life was one of resilience, love, and dedication. From the humble beginnings of his early education at Colleton County Public Schools, he embarked on a remarkable path that led him to the bustling streets of New York City as a teenager. It was there that William found his calling, first as a taxi driver, navigating the city's vibrant energy, and later honing his craft as a skilled barber. His passion for cutting and styling hair was not just a profession but a cherished art form through which he connected with many, leaving a lasting impression on all who sat in his chair. In 1965, William married his first love, Mildred Garvin, with whom he shared a beautiful life and the joy of raising six children. After parting ways, William found love again in 1983 when he married Cynthia William welcoming two more children into his heart, further enriching his life with love and laughter. Beyond his professional endeavors, William was a man of many passions. His love for animals was evident in his nurturing spirit, and his enthusiasm for sports, particularly boxing, was infectious. William was an avid card player, with a particular fondness for spades, where he found joy in friendly competition and camaraderie. William's legacy continues in the hearts of his surviving children Sharan, Willa, Craig, Shane , Shavonne, Celwyn and his stepdaughter, Stephanie Garvin, his siblings AnnieMae Dobison and Dorothy Generette a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family and friends who will forever cherish the countless memories and life lessons imparted by him. The Daniels family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love, support, and kindness during this difficult time. Your comforting words and gestures have provided solace and strength. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, let us cherish the legacy of love, laughter, and dedication that William has left behind.
