William Henry "Bill" Turner, a beloved father, partner, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on April 8, 2026. Born on January 21, 1953, in Frankfort, Michigan, Bill lived a life full of adventure, love, and service to others.
Bill was the cherished son of Thomas and Pirelli M. Turner, who preceded him in death, along with his nephew, Lee Woods. He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory, including his daughter, Mikala Florence and her husband, Dean; his devoted partner, Hope Lynch; and his special friend, Camile Lindo. Bill also leaves his sisters, Nancy Dudley and her husband Cecil, and Ruthanne Turner Piggee. A grandchild on the way and a host of great-nieces and nephews will continue to carry his legacy forward.
A proud graduate of Frankfort High School, Bill's career began with a courageous stint as a firefighter in Colorado, where he was injured while battling a fire. This experience did not deter his adventurous spirit; instead, it led him to join the Barnum and Bailey Circus. With the circus, Bill developed a love for travel, meeting new people, and serving others.
His journey eventually led him to Hollywood, Florida, where he decided to plant roots and chase his entrepreneurial dreams. Bill founded Fire House BBQ, a food truck and catering business that became a testament to his passion for cooking and his love for bringing people together. His culinary talents and warm hospitality endeared him to everyone who had the pleasure of experiencing his food and company.
