Eddie, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, on July 31, 2026. Born on November 19, 1944, in Charleston, MO, William graced this world with his kindness and compassion for 81 years. William was the beloved son of Ezell and Jack Lampkin, who preceded him in death alongside his brothers, Michael, Ronald, and Jewel Lampkin. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served his country with honor and dignity. His sense of duty and patriotism was a guiding force throughout his life. He leaves behind the love of his life, Rosie L. Eddie, with whom he shared 55 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a family rooted in love and mutual respect. William's legacy continues through his children: Anthony Marizette of Benton Harbor, MI, Shawn Eddie of Battle Creek, MI, and Lisa Eddie-Rimpson of Marietta, GA. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Carol (Rodney) Easter of St. Peters, MO, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. William’s memory will be eternally treasured by all who knew him. His gentle spirit and unwavering love serve as a beacon of hope and comfort to his family and friends. His laughter and stories will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched. A celebration of William’s life will take place on August 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Robbins Brothers Funeral Home, located at 204 S Fair Ave, Benton Harbor, MI. Friends and family are welcome to gather and honor his remarkable journey. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to William’s generous heart and enduring spirit. May William H.
