It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of William Edison Grenz on June 8, 2026, at the age of 84. Surrounded by the warmth and unwavering love of his devoted wife, Patricia, William departed this world at their cherished home, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. Born on August 3, 1941, in the vast landscapes of the United States, William was a man whose life was a testament to hard work, resilience, and an unwavering dedication to his family. Throughout his life, he wore many hats, from a logger to a mechanic and ultimately a truck driver, each role reflecting his versatility and work ethic. His ability to adapt and thrive in various professions spoke volumes of his character and determination. William's heart was as expansive as his interests, which included hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. However, these pursuits paled in comparison to his greatest joy—spending time with Patricia and their blended family. Married in August of 1999, their union was a celebration of love and companionship. Their home became a sanctuary for all, hosting annual celebrations that welcomed everyone with open arms and promises of "see you next year." Predeceased by his son, William Edison Grenz Jr., William's memory will continue to be cherished by his beloved Wife Patricia, his surviving sons, Edward and Joseph Grenz, and his stepchildren, Charlene Henson (son in law) Steve Scilacci, Nicki Martin (son in law) Frank Martin, Steven Stathis (daughter in law) Julie Stathis, and Jennifer Lizer (son in law ) Richard Lizer. Although he leaves behind many grandchildren, the love and wisdom he imparted will be carried forward by his many great-grandchildren, ensuring that his spirit remains a guiding light for future generations. William was a singular soul, known for his candid nature and a heart as vast as the sky. He never hesitated to offer his opinion, especially when it involved the well-being of those he loved. Yet, his arms were always open, ready to offer solace and support to anyone in need. His legacy is one of compassion, strength, and an unwavering commitment to family. A service to celebrate William's remarkable life will be held at the home he shared with Patricia on what would have been his 85th birthday, August 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone who offered their support during William's final days and to Burns Funeral Home for ensuring his last journey was handled with care and dignity. In this time of sorrow, we find solace in the countless memories of a man whose love knew no bounds. The family invites all who knew and loved William to join in honoring his life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you keep William's spirit alive by extending kindness and compassion to others, just as he did throughout his life.
