It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William “Cheyenne” Hart on May 1, 2026, at the age of 47. Cheyenne passed in his home, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, love, and deep connections that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Born on August 5, 1978, in West Monroe, Louisiana, Cheyenne was the beloved son of James Ray Hart and Connie Sue Tucker Hart Long. Predeceased by his parents, his sister, his grandparents, and numerous other family members, Cheyenne is now reunited with those he dearly missed.
Cheyenne was a devoted husband to his cherished wife, Destiny Hart, whom he married on June 15, 2002. Together, they raised four remarkable children: David Hart, Dylan Anzalone, Chelsea Hart and her fiancé , Hayden Holmes, and Connor Hart. His love for his family was boundless and was mirrored in the joy he found in his grandchildren, Kinsleigh Hope and Hayden Cheyenne. Cheyenne took immense pride in his role as a grandfather, delighting in taking them to see Christmas lights and creating cherished memories.
Cheyenne attended Ouachita High School in Monroe, Louisiana, and went on to work in carpentry, mechanics, and creating custom furniture and lighting, where his craftsmanship was matched only by his creativity.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Cheyenne found peace and joy in the great outdoors. He was a man who loved the simple pleasures of life—boiling crawfish with friends and sharing laughter and stories. His spirit was adventurous and full of life, always ready with a kind smile and an open heart.
As a member of Lakeview Baptist Church, Cheyenne's faith was a guiding force in his life, providing him with strength and comfort. His commitment to his family and community was unwavering, and he was known for his kindness towards others.
Cheyenne is survived by a loving family that includes his brother, Shane Hart, and his wife, Charity, as well as his stepbrother, Bill Long, and his wife, Jennifer. His family extends to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless close friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.
A service to celebrate Cheyenne's life will be held on May 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at 1460 Pine St., Chatham, Louisiana. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Cheyenne are invited to join in honoring his life.
Cheyenne's memory will live on in the laughter of his grandchildren, the stories shared by his friends, and the enduring love of his family. His was a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire.
