William "Chester" Griffith, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026, at the Bedford Springs Nursing Facility in Bedford, Kentucky, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Born on June 11, 1952, in Carrollton, Kentucky, Chester lived a life marked by kindness, joy, and a deep connection to the people and places he cherished most.
Chester was the cherished son of the late Louise Beach and Ralph Griffith, and he carried forward their legacy of warmth and generosity throughout his life. He was also preceded in death by his brother, George Griffith, and his grandparents, Cornilla and Walter Beach. Chester leaves behind a loving sister, Rachel Hendren, a devoted niece Samantha Beach, a great-niece Kinsley Beach, two great-nephews Kayden Beach and Kenston Otter, along with several cousins and an extended family who will forever hold his memory close.
An alumnus of Carroll County High School, Chester valued the education he received and remained a dedicated member of the Ghent Baptist Church throughout his life. His faith was a guiding light, and he found great joy in the fellowship and spiritual community that the church provided.
Chester was a man of simple pleasures and profound joys. He found happiness in the rhythms of everyday life—riding his bike through familiar paths, embarking on trips that broadened his horizons, and spending quality time with his family. He had an affinity for the tranquility of fishing, a pastime he often shared with friends and family. Chester could often be found sitting on the front porch, where he delighted in watching the world go by, savoring the small moments that others might overlook.
Those who knew Chester will remember him most for his contagious laugh, his radiant smile, and his unwavering kindness. He had an innate ability to make others feel valued and loved, a gift that left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Chester's spirit was one of generosity and warmth, and his presence illuminated the lives of those around him.
