William Bradley Ford January 22, 1947 – March 18, 2026 William Bradley Ford, fondly known as Brad to his family and friends, passed away peacefully under hospice care on March 18, 2026, at the age of 79. Brad's journey on this earth began in Olean, New York, where he was born to William H. Ford and Phyllis (Appleby) Ford on January 22, 1947. Brad's life was a testament to dedication, service, and love. He attended Olean High School, graduating in 1965, a stepping stone that led him to serve his country with honor as a member of the Marines during the Vietnam War. This period of service was a significant chapter in Brad's life, marking his commitment and bravery. After his military service, Brad returned to his studies with a steadfast determination and graduated from St. Bonaventure in 1975. This academic achievement paved the way for a fulfilling career with Dresser Rand, where Brad's talents and hard work were recognized and valued from 1975 until his well-deserved retirement in 2022 in Houston, Texas. His colleagues remember him as a man of integrity and dedication, always striving for excellence in his work. Brad's life was enriched by his involvement in the community and his unwavering faith. He was an active member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Houston, where he found a spiritual home and a circle of friends who became like family to him. Brad was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Phyllis, and his great-nephew, Leonard Choo Quan, whose memories he cherished deeply. He is survived by his devoted wife, Soo Moon, who was his partner in life and love. Brad also leaves behind a stepson, whose life he touched profoundly with his wisdom and kindness, and four grandchildren who were the light of his life, bringing him immense joy and pride. Throughout his life, Brad was known for his warmth, generosity, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His legacy is one of compassion and strength, a life well-lived with purpose and grace. As we remember Brad, we hold onto the countless memories and the lessons he imparted, celebrating the remarkable man he was. A memorial service will be held at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Houston, where friends and family will gather to honor Brad's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veteran's charity of your choice, reflecting Brad's enduring commitment to his fellow servicemen and women. Brad Ford's life was a blessing to all who knew him, and though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit and legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, dear Brad.
