William (Bill) Walker

June 28, 1942 — September 11, 2026

William "Bill" Walker, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital after a brief illness. Born on June 28, 1942, in Almont, Michigan, Bill was the beloved son of Earl and Irene Walker, who preceded him in death, along with great-granddaughters Ella May and Kaci Renee. A devoted family man, Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rosemary, whom he married on January 27, 1967, in Port Huron, Michigan. Together, they built a life rich with love and cherished memories. Bill was a proud father to his son Douglas (Donna) Walker and daughter Denise (Elisandro) Lopez. His legacy extends through his seven grandchildren, Michael (Abbie), Manuel (Ariel), Monica (Matt), Jacob (Lydia), Andrew (Katie), Frank and Vincent, and seven great-grandchildren, Stella, Mateo, Maverick, Mazie, Zeus, Sutton, and the eagerly anticipated Baby Boy Weston William, due in January. Bill dedicated his professional life to Mortimer and Sons Lumber, from which he retired, and also served part-time as a Capac Police Officer. His work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Beyond his career, Bill was a man of many talents and interests. He was happiest with a tool in hand, building or fixing things, and he took great pleasure in nurturing the wildlife around him, especially feeding the deer. Known for his generous spirit and willingness to help others, Bill's kindness left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was a man who could always be depended upon, and his absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered support during Bill's illness. Your kindness has been a source of comfort during this difficult time. Bill will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love, generosity, and strength will remain with us forever.
