William (Bill) Dale Bonstill,Jr
November 5, 1974 — July 13, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of William (Bill) Dale Bonstill, Jr., on July 13, 2026, in his sleep. Born on November 5, 1974, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Bill was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose warmth and humor left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving parents, William Dale Bonstill, Sr. and Wanda Lee Paul Bonstill, his stepfather, John Sullivan, and his beloved nephew, William Chadwick Bonstell. His memory will be lovingly carried on by his devoted siblings, Linda Bonstell, Delilah Bonstill, and Ramona Neill and her husband Carl. He was a cherished uncle to Heather Neill Salgado,Veronica Salgado, Meagan Cole and her husband Joseph, and Lindsey Crain and her husband BJ. Bill's great nieces, Addyson Salgado, Lynnox Cole, Andi Crain, Neill Crain, and Brooks Crain, will remember him as their funny and loving great uncle, who brought joy into every gathering.
Bill was a man of simple pleasures, who found great joy in the laughter of his family and friends, always ready with a quick-witted remark and a warm smile. His love for television and food was only surpassed by his love for those around him, and he was known to have a twinkle in his eye whenever laughter filled the room. Bill's friends from Pinecrest were considered family, and he took great care to ensure that they were always looked after.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Longview Baptist Church Cemetery. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in remembering a man who brought so much light to our lives.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Pinecrest, Rapides Hospital, and Heart of Hospice for their compassion and care. Bill will remain forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to an organization of your choice that supports individuals with special needs or to a local hospice care provider.
