William (Bill) Dale Bonstill, Jr

November 5, 1974 — July 13, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Dale Bonstill, Jr, who left this world on July 13, 2026, at the age of 51. Bill passed away peacefully in the Intensive Care Unit at Rapides Hospital, following a courageous battle with illness. Born on November 5, 1974, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Bill was a beloved son to the late William and Wanda Bonstill. He was also the stepson of the late John Sullivan and nephew to the late William Chadwick Bonstell, all of whom predeceased him. Bill was a cherished brother to Linda Bonstell, Delilah Bonstill, and Ramona Neill (Carl). He was a devoted uncle to his nieces, Heather Salgado, Veronica Salgado, Meagan Cole (Joseph), and Lindsey Crain (BJ). His great-nieces, Addyson Salgado, Lynnox Cole, Andi Crain, Neill Crain, and Brooks Crain, brought him immense joy and pride. Bill was renowned for his quick wit and warm smile, both of which endeared him to everyone he met. His humor sparkled in his eyes, leaving a trail of laughter and light wherever he went. A lover of good food and TV, Bill found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life, especially when surrounded by family and friends. Throughout his journey, Bill touched the lives of many with his kindness and love. His generous spirit and compassion were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Pinecrest, Rapides Hospital ICU, and Heart of Hospice for their compassionate care during his final days. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Bill's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 17, 2026, at Longview Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 973 LA-1207, Deville, LA 71328. Family and friends are invited to join in remembering the extraordinary life of a man who will forever remain in our hearts. The love Bill shared and the joy he brought into this world will be remembered always. As his family lovingly states, he is "Forever in our hearts."
