William (Bill, Billy)
January 22, 1957 — June 22, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Williams, a beloved husband, brother, and friend. Bill left this world on June 22, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on January 22, 1957, in the vibrant borough of the Bronx, New York, to the late Dorothy Conran and Edward Williams. Bill's life was a testament to dedication, love, and unwavering kindness towards everyone he encountered.
Bill was a cherished brother, predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Edward, and survived by his dear siblings, Katherine Williams and Guy Williams, who, alongside his sister-in-law Margaret, held a special place in his heart. Bill was also predeceased by his siblings Dennis, Richard, Edward, Dorothy, and MaryAnn, with whom he shared countless cherished memories.
On September 11, 1983, Bill married the love of his life, Camille Accardo. Their union was a beautiful testament to enduring love, marked by a deep friendship and devotion that withstood the test of time. Camille was not just his partner but his confidante and his greatest source of joy. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
For over forty years, Bill dedicated himself to his work as a doorman in New York City, a role he embraced with grace and integrity. He was more than just a doorman; he was a cornerstone of the community, known for his friendly smile, genuine interest in others, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. His career was marked by his unwavering commitment and the countless lives he touched through simple acts of kindness.
Bill's legacy is one of generosity and compassion. He was a steadfast supporter of charitable causes close to his heart, particularly the American Diabetes Association and St. Jude's Children's Hospital. His commitment to these organizations reflected his desire to make the world a better place for others, even in the face of his own challenges.
In accordance with Bill's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor his memory. While we gather in a more intimate setting to celebrate his life, we invite all those who knew and loved Bill to remember him in their own way, cherishing the moments shared and the love exchanged.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. These contributions will continue Bill's legacy of compassion and service, supporting causes that were dear to his heart.
Though Bill may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle spirit, and the love he shared so freely. As we bid farewell to our beloved Bill, we hold onto the memories of a life well-lived and a man deeply loved.
Rest in peace, dear Bill. You will forever be missed, but never forgotten.
