In loving memory of William Bernard Boykin, affectionately known to many as "Shorty Forty," who peacefully departed this world on October 19, 2026, at his home in the comforting presence of his beloved mother, Christabell, and dear sister, Trina. Born on March 13, 1964, in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, William was a beacon of light and laughter to all who knew him. He took immense pride and joy in his children, Jason Boykins, Kierra Dowdy (DaVandrick), Kayla Robinson, and Kortavis Robinson, who were the center of his world. His legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren, Jesiah Robinson, Kalani Baker, Kareem Robinson, Supreme Pryor, Carreyon Pryor Jr., Kacey Robinson, and Kayleigh Robinson, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride. William was a man of many passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as playing pool, immersing himself in a good book, and savoring the excitement of football Sundays. His quick wit and warm smile were his trademarks, and he had an extraordinary talent for making everyone around him feel welcomed and valued. His kindness and genuine nature were the threads that wove the fabric of his life, leaving a lasting impact on countless hearts. Those who had the privilege of knowing William will remember him for his humor, his kindness, and his unwavering ability to lighten any mood with a well-timed joke. His realness and authenticity were a gift to those around him, and his presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
