Willene J. Tillman, a beloved matriarch and cherished friend, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on August 23, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of her family. Born on October 5, 1936, in Washington, D.C., Willene was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her. Daughter of Joseph and Anna Postell, Willene was raised in a home filled with love and laughter. She was educated in the public schools of Washington, D.C., and graduated with the class of 1955 from Martha Washington. It was here that she cultivated a love for learning and formed friendships that would last a lifetime. In 1957, Willene married the love of her life, Tea Thessalonian Tillman. Together, they built a loving family and a life rich with memories. Though Tea predeceased her, their enduring love remains a testament to their beautiful union. Willene was a devoted mother to her children, Tojuana, Gary, Cynthia, Ethel, and Jackie, who carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Her heart was further filled with the joy of her six grandchildren—Nicole, Jessica, Monique, Lil Gary, Moriah, and Trey—and her nine great-grandchildren, Diamond, McKenzie, Emori, Ely, Eva, Marquis, Bryce, Bren, and Mazie. The family tree continues to blossom with her great-great-grandchild, Kyrie. Her career in retail services spanned 25 years, where Willene touched the lives of many with her warm smile and dedication. A devoted member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, she lived her faith with grace and humility, participating actively until her passing. Willene had a zest for life that was infectious. She was an avid shopper and loved to travel, always seeking out new adventures and creating treasured memories along the way. Her dear friend, Earlene, was a constant companion in these endeavors, sharing in the joy and laughter that filled Willene's days. Willene was predeceased in death by her siblings, Lawrence Postell and Ethel Whittingham, who she now joins in eternal rest. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit continues to inspire and uplift us. A celebration of Willene's life will be held on September 14, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Adam’s Funeral Home, P.A., located at 20605 Aquasco Rd, Aquasco, MD. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life so beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Willene's memory to organizations close to her heart, reflecting her lifelong commitment to love and service. Willene J.
