With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Willard Tyrone Andrews on September 6, 2026, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on November 13, 1952, in Hope Mills, North Carolina, Willard lived a life of service, love, and unwavering faith. Willard's journey began in Hope Mills, where the seeds of kindness and dedication were sown early in his life. He went on to serve with honor in the United States Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. His military career was marked by discipline, courage, and an unyielding commitment to his fellow soldiers and his country. Even after his retirement, Willard continued to serve his community as a steadfast member of the Beauty Spot Missionary Baptist Church, where his presence was a beacon of faith and warmth. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Willard was known for his kind-hearted nature and the way his personality could warm anyone’s heart. He lived his life as a reflection of the God he faithfully served, always thoughtful and considerate of those around him. Willard leaves behind a devoted family who adored him: his beloved wife, Karen; his children, Armando (Kamillah) Allen and Lenetia (Alexious) Mayo; and his cherished grandchildren, Jado Mayo-Andrews and Ja'Len Mayo, along with three additional grandchildren. He was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Ny'Jae Mayo, who brought him immense joy. His loving sister, Carolyn (Johnnie) Bullock, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, will forever hold his memory dear. A service to honor and celebrate Willard’s life will be held on September 14, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Beauty Spot Missionary Baptist Church, located at 7572 Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Willard's generous spirit and enduring legacy. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the special message from his family: "A soldier. A servant. A husband. A father. A grandfather. A friend. May his memory continue to be a blessing to all." Willard Tyrone Andrews will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness, service, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
