Willard "Bud" Lambert, 77, of Flora, IN passed away on October 11, 2026, at Franciscan Health-Lafayette East, surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 15, 1949, in the small Appalachian mountain town of Gibson Station, Virginia, Bud's life was a testament to hard work, simple pleasures, and the joy of family. The son of John and Janie (Barnes) Lambert, Bud was one of a close-knit family. While he was predeceased by his beloved parents, and siblings Wayne and Bill Lambert, Mary Kelly, Jean Reed, Nancy Reed, and Kathy Stains, his memory will forever be cherished by his surviving family. Bud leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Joyce (Wetzel) Lambert, with whom he built a lifetime of cherished memories since their wedding on June 6, 1969, in Delphi, Indiana. A proud father, Bud is survived by his children: Kelli (Paul) Burge of Bringhurst, Candi (Ray) King of Flora, and James (Leigh Anne) Lambert of Burlington. He was the adored grandfather to eight grandchildren: Collin Burge, Jeremy Lambert, Anna Dirtseller, Joshua Lambert, Keagan Burge, Caitlin Burge, Aubrey Lambert, and Olivia King. His love and wisdom will also continue to guide his four great-grandchildren: Landen, Nolan, Lori, and Hudson. For those who knew Bud, his life was marked by a deep commitment to his family. He forged a successful career with Yeager & Sullivan, Reed's Tile Mill, and Peter's Revington, before enjoying a well-earned retirement. Bud was a man of simple pleasures; he enjoyed fishing, cheering on his favorite NASCAR driver, Mark Martin, his beloved Minnesota Vikings, and unwinding with a good Western show. Above all, Bud found his greatest joy in the company of his family, particularly his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His warmth, humor, and steadfast support will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bud is also survived by his siblings, Mike Lambert and Glenda Styck of Georgia, who will carry on his legacy of kindness and strength. In accordance with his wishes Bud will be laid to rest in the hills of Virginia where his life began. As we bid farewell to Bud, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. His legacy of love and dedication will remain a guiding light for generations to come.
