February 5, 1962 — May 17, 2026

In loving memory of Wilie Wilson, a cherished son, father, brother, and friend, who passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with an acute form of leukemia. Wilie was born on February 5, 1962, in Pasadena, California, to Willie Wilson Sr. and Marian Wilson, and he spent his life embodying the values of faith, family, and community. Wilie was a proud alum of Pasadena High School, where he was not only a dedicated student but also a spirited member of the PHS football team. His passion for football was a testament to his determination and strong work ethic, qualities that he carried with him to Pasadena City College as he continued his education and football career. A man of profound faith, Wilie was a baptized member of the Jehovah's Witness organization. His love for Jehovah was unwavering and remained a guiding force throughout his life. Wilie met the love of his life, Denise Beckett, and together they built a beautiful family, blessed with two wonderful children, Justin and Jordon. Though no longer together, their bond as co-parents remained strong, united by their shared love for their children. Family was at the heart of Wilie's life. He leaves behind his loving mother, Marian; his devoted son, Justin; and his beloved daughter, Jordon. He is also survived by his brothers Kenneth and Don; his sisters Sheila and Darlene; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who cherished his warmth and kindness. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Sr., and his siblings, Daryl, Leonard, and Marian. His passing was followed by the loss of his brother Michael, just two weeks later, a brother who was also one of his closest friends. Wilie's love extended beyond his family to his passions and hobbies. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from camping and barbecuing to trips to Six Flags and playing tennis. A lifelong fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Lakers, Wilie shared his enthusiasm for sports with those around him. Music also held a special place in his heart, with Earth, Wind & Fire, The Isley Brothers, and H.E.R. among his favorites. Wilie's memory will be honored at a service on June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Woods-Valentine Mortuary, located at 1455 N Fair Oaks Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103. Friends and family will gather to celebrate a life well-lived, a testament to Wilie's enduring legacy of love and strength. As we say goodbye to Wilie, we remember a man whose life was a beacon of love and warmth, a man who touched the hearts of all who knew him. May his memory continue to inspire us to live with the same passion and kindness that he shared so generously.
