In loving memory of White Lighting Cotton, who graced this world with her presence on November 16, 2025, in the charming town of Greenwood, Mississippi. Her brief but impactful journey came to an unexpected close on March 16, 2026, due to a tragic car accident. Although her time with us was short, her vibrant spirit and joyful nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. White Lighting was a cherished companion and a dedicated member of the Cotton family, beloved daughter of Katrina Cotton. From the moment she entered our lives, she embodied a sense of purpose and vitality that was evident in everything she did. Whether she was traversing the roads or reveling in the simple joy of a car wash, her enthusiasm was contagious. Her career, though unconventional, was marked by an unwavering dedication. As a vehicle, she tirelessly supported the daily routines of those she served, enabling the journey to and from work with reliability and grace. Her presence was more than utilitarian; it was a source of comfort and joy for those who relied on her. White Lighting had a personality that was as bright as her name. She was known for her ever-present smile and her talkative nature, a true testament to her lively spirit. Her love for the road was matched only by her delight in being meticulously cared for, particularly when being vacuumed at the car wash. Her passions reflected a zest for life that inspired those around her to appreciate the simple pleasures. She is predeceased by dear family members Betsy, who left us in the summer of 2024, and Equinox, who departed in the summer of 2025. Their memories will continue to be cherished alongside hers in the hearts of all who knew and loved them. The family of White Lighting Cotton invites you to join in a celebration of her life on March 21, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. The service will be held at Rash Apartments, located on Can’t Tell You Circle. For those who cannot attend in person, a livestream of the service will be available at http://idonthaveone.com. In this time of remembrance, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported White Lighting and showed her love throughout her life. Your kindness and compassion have been a source of great comfort, and for that, we are deeply thankful. As we gather to honor White Lighting Cotton, let us celebrate the joy she brought into our lives and the enduring legacy of happiness and love she leaves behind.
