Wesley Thane Graver

Wesley Thane Graver, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2026, at the age of 101. Born on October 31, 1924, in McCune, Kansas, Wesley lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love. He was the beloved son of Bert Lee and Elizabeth Adaline (Mayhorn) Graver and grew up in McCune, Kansas, where he graduated from McCune High School. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1941 to 1945 during World War II, where he served as a SP Gunner and worked in the Mess Hall. After his military service, Wesley dedicated his career to American Airlines as a machinist, where he worked diligently and made lasting friendships. A man of varied interests, Wesley was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling. He was also a passionate football fan, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs with unwavering support. Wesley was a devoted member of several organizations, including Sam's Camping Club, VFW Owasso, Central Baptist Church of Owasso, and he attended Twin Oaks Baptist Church of Wagoner. His faith and community were central to his life, and he was known for his generous spirit and warm heart. In November 1941, Wesley married his beloved wife, RosaLee (Phillips) Graver. Together, they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage until RosaLee's passing. Wesley's legacy lives on through his surviving children: Wesley Lee Graver (Elizabeth), Donna A. Reedy, and Ellen Y. Ecker (David). He was a proud grandfather to Christian Reedy (Mae), Shawna Bell, Kerri Reedy, Greg Ecker (Selena), Brandon Ecker, John W. Graver (Seidena), and Jesse Graver (Andrea), and a great-grandfather to Joseph, Ben, Ella, Hannah Graver, Abbie, Trent, Hayden, Holden Ecker, Rosie Bilodeau, Vance Reedy, Kacey Alfredson, and George. He also leaves behind a precious great-great-granddaughter and a great-great-niece, Alyvia Bilodeau. Wesley was predeceased by his loving wife RosaLee, his grandson-in-law Dennis Bell, Brother-in-law Dennis Reedy, and his brother Neil Graver. He is also remembered fondly by many friends and acquaintances, including his dear friends Wayne and Bonnie Harvey. A celebration of Wesley's extraordinary life will be held on September 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mallet Funeral Home, 417 E. Cherokee St., Wagoner, Oklahoma. Family Night will take place on August 31, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., where the family would love to see everyone. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Wesley's generous and giving nature. Wesley's love, kindness, and dedication to his family and community will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know him.
