It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Flores, who left this world on October 12, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on March 12, 1971, in Dallas, Texas, Wendy was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the cherished daughter of Janie Goldston Wells and Hershel Ray Hardin. Wendy lived a life full of love, laughter, and music. Her quick wit and dry sense of humor endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. A child at heart, Wendy found joy in playing tricks on loved ones, always aiming to bring a smile or a laugh. Her love for music was profound, and she was a lifelong fan of Prince, often joking that she would marry him if she could. Wendy shared 33 years of marriage with her former husband, Steve Flores. Together, they raised three beautiful children and were blessed with three wonderful grandsons. Despite their eventual separation, Wendy and Steve remained close friends, a testament to the enduring bond they shared. She is survived by her loving daughter, Alyssa Hathaway, and her devoted son, Steven Flores. Her legacy lives on in her grandsons—Troy, Austin, and Hunter Hathaway—who brought immense joy to her life. She also left behind her precious Chiweenie dog, Teensie, whom she loved and was her best friend. Wendy was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Haylee Nikol Flores, whose memory she cherished deeply. Wendy found great delight in watching her grandsons play sports and relished their playful antics. Her presence in their lives was a source of boundless love and support, and she never missed an opportunity to cheer them on from the sidelines. Wendy's spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by love and music.
