In 1995, Wendy proudly achieved her G.E.D., a testament to her determination and desire for personal growth. Wendy found her greatest joy in her family. She was the cherished mother of five children: Michael King, Richard Keating, James Hilburn, Brandon Hilburn, and Ashley Hilburn. Her nurturing spirit extended to her 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her legacy of love and compassion will undoubtedly live on through them. She shared a close bond with her siblings, Michael King, Diana Grewe, and Kathy Bennett, who remember her as a steadfast sister and a loyal friend. Wendy's family was her world, and her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her home-cooked meals. Wendy's life will be celebrated on March 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Kilgroe Funeral Home, located at 2219 2nd Ave N, Pell City, Alabama. The service will be a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and honor the incredible woman who touched so many lives with her kindness and grace.
