Wayne Paul Scott, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on September 29, 1938, in Montours, New York, Wayne was the cherished son of Paul and Eleanor. Wayne served with honor in the United States Army's esteemed 82nd Airborne Division, embodying the strength and dedication that would define his life. After his military service, he pursued a career as an electrician, retiring from Mosaic in Bartow, Florida, where he left behind a legacy of hard work and camaraderie. On August 2, 1997, Wayne married his soulmate, Harriet L. Lynch. Together, they shared a beautiful 29 years filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Their life together was a testament to the power of love, which was always evident in Wayne's eyes and heart. Wayne was a man of simple joys and profound love. He was known for his spontaneous late-night drives to McDonald's, satisfying the cravings of his great-grandchildren with a smile and a warm heart. His life was a tapestry woven with moments of joy and selflessness, from holding his children’s hands during pivotal moments to sharing in the excitement of his grandchildren's milestones. He had a song in his heart and a melody that played softly through his life, always ready to hum or sing a tune. His presence was a comfort to his family, and he was a pillar of strength and love for his wife, children, and grandchildren. His legacy lives on through his surviving family members: his devoted wife, Harriet L. Scott; his son, Christopher Scott and spouse Angel; his daughter, Samantha Poff and spouse Toby; along with his grandchildren, Christopher and Courtney Scott, Donovan and Kaylee Reeves, Tabitha and Anthony Handford, Tamera Phillips, Tyrone Robinson, Tracie Davis, Teirrah Davis, Orlando Otero, and 13 treasured great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held on August 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM at 4521 Hibiscus Dr, Indian Lake Estates, FL 33855. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Wayne's memory, honoring his spirit of giving and love for his family. Wayne Paul Scott’s love will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him. His warmth, generosity, and enduring love continue to inspire and uplift all who were blessed to have been a part of his journey.
