Wanda Sellers

Wanda Powers Sellers, born on July 28, 1940, left this world peacefully at her home on August 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a vibrant soul, known for her quick wit, contagious smile, and the ability to bring joy to everyone around her. Often playfully called "Wicked Wanda," she had a knack for pranks and jokes that could lighten any mood. Wanda was a beloved wife, having shared a life full of adventures and love with her husband, Glen Sellers. Their journey together began with a serendipitous meeting at The Regas Restaurant, leading to a marriage that would span decades and be blessed with three children. Wanda embraced the joys of family life with open arms. She was a devoted mother to Tim (Regina), Jani (Mike) and Chris (Lindy), and her heart swelled with pride at the accomplishments of her grandchildren: Marissa, Makyla (Gavin), Hunter (Chad), Jessi, Nate (Rachel), Amanda, Wesley (Sophie), and Lainey. Her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Theo, Declan, and Augustus, were the lights of her life, and she cherished every moment with them. Known affectionately as "Nana" to not just her family but to everyone she met, Wanda had a special gift for making people feel welcomed and important. Her home was always filled with laughter, good humor, and the comforting aroma of her cookies. She loved nothing more than gathering her family for happy hours, where she would enjoy her favorite Seabreeze and Margarita. Wanda's passion for life extended beyond her family. She loved traveling, especially to places with warm weather and beaches. Her adventurous spirit and love for life were infectious, and she shared that joy with everyone she met. A service to celebrate Wanda's life will be held on September 1, 2026, at 4:30 PM at Strawberry Plains Church, located at 3173 W Old Andrew Johnson Hwy, Strawberry Plains, TN 37871. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Wanda's caregivers, whose gentle care and kindness ensured her comfort during the last year of her life. Her grandchildren fondly remember her as a source of endless love and support. They shared special moments filled with laughter, sugary treats, and shared wardrobes. Wanda's humor and generous spirit left an indelible mark on their hearts.
