February 1, 1967 — July 30, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Wanda Marie Harris, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left this world on July 30, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on February 1, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Wanda was a beacon of love and strength to all who knew her. Wanda was the cherished daughter of the late John Dorset and Carrie Harris, and the devoted sister to the late Carlotta Harris. She was a pillar of support and an inspiration to her surviving siblings: Markese Clay, Lamar Harris, Shawn Harris, Shanell Harris, and Sarah Harris. Her nurturing spirit extended to her role as a grandmother, and she was blessed with 17 grandchildren who were the light of her life. Throughout her years, Wanda touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Her laughter was infectious, and her wisdom was a guiding force for all who sought her counsel. Wanda's legacy is one of love, resilience, and compassion, values she instilled in her children and grandchildren. Wanda's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of Second Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she found joy and solace in her community. It is fitting that her life will be celebrated there, in the very place where she worshiped and spread her light to others. A celebration of Wanda's life will be held on August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Second Pilgrim Baptist Church, located at 856-46 N 15th Street. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Wanda are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Wanda Marie Harris. This gesture would honor Wanda’s generous spirit and her lifelong commitment to helping others. Wanda Marie Harris will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. Rest in peace, dear Wanda, in the ever-loving embrace of God.
