Walter was surrounded by the profound love of his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will be cherished forever.
Walter was the beloved son of Kathleen and Walter Wilson, who instilled in him the values of integrity and compassion that he carried throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his dear siblings, Kim Wilson and Cindy Wilson. His memory will continue to be a guiding light for his surviving family members, including his devoted wife, Marsha Wilson, his loving brother Todd Wilson, his cherished children Kristin Wilson, and his stepchildren Michael Kruger and Matt Kruger, who lovingly referred to him as their second father. Walter's legacy lives on in his five treasured grandchildren: Brendon, Jake, Collin, Kali, and Kelcie, who were the apples of his eye.
Walter's journey of life was marked by accomplishments and adventures. He graduated from Durham High School and pursued higher education at Emery Riddle in Daytona Beach, Florida, where he earned a degree that propelled him into a fulfilling career. He served his country with honor in the US Air Force, where he honed his skills as a jet engine mechanic. His dedication and expertise later led him to a managerial role in fueling planes, where he ensured the skies were safe for countless passengers.
On a day filled with promise and love, Walter married Marsha, his soulmate and confidante. Together, they raised three children and built a life that was a testament to joy and resilience. Although the exact date of their union is a cherished memory held closely by the family, their years together were filled with laughter, love, and an unyielding bond that inspired all who knew them.
Walter's passion for life extended beyond his professional achievements. He found solace and joy on the golf course, where he spent countless afternoons perfecting his swing and sharing camaraderie with friends.
