Wai Lum was the beloved son of Tam Kui Ching and Yu Sui Oi. His journey took him from his birthplace in China to a life rich with love and dedication in the United States. It was here that he met his devoted wife, Sui Ming, with whom he shared more than 50 beautiful years of marriage, filled with laughter, adventures, and a deep, abiding love that inspired all who knew them.
A skilled and respected sewing machine mechanic, Wai Lum dedicated over three decades to his craft before retiring. His work was a testament to his meticulous nature and his unwavering commitment to excellence. His colleagues and clients admired not only his expertise but also the warmth and sincerity with which he approached every task.
Wai Lum's greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife Sui Ming; his cherished daughter Shirley Tam and her husband Vince Phan; his devoted son Kenneth Tam and his wife Amy Wong; and his stepsons Bronson Chui and Ricky Chui. Wai Lum's legacy extends to his ten grandchildren, who were the light of his life, and one great-grandchild who brought him immeasurable joy.
In their hearts, Wai Lum's family remembers him as a gentle soul with a generous spirit, always ready with a smile or a helping hand. His love for his family was boundless, and his presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
